Grand Pran Pratishtha Ceremony of Ram Darbar by CM Yogi Marks a Historic Moment in Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir!

CM Yogi Performs Pran Pratishtha at Ram Darbar in Ayodhya

In a significant event for devotees and followers of Lord Ram, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a puja ceremony during the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) program of Ram Darbar, located on the first floor of the much-awaited Ram Temple in Ayodhya. This ceremony took place on an auspicious day when the auspicious Abhijit Muhurat was observed, affirming the importance of the moment in Hindu tradition.

The Pran Pratishtha Ceremony

The Pran Pratishtha program commenced at approximately 11:25 AM and concluded around 11:40 AM. During this time, the sanctification process took place for the magnificent idols placed in the Ram Darbar, which features intricate designs and is believed to be a manifestation of the divine presence of Lord Ram.

The first floor hosts a prominent depiction of Lord Ram, who is shown along with his wife, Sita, and his three brothers—Laxman, Bharat, and Shatrughan. Additionally, the idol of Lord Hanuman graces the ensemble, symbolizing his unwavering devotion. The ceremony was meticulously executed by 101 priests led by priest Jai Prakash Tripathi from Kashi, who performed traditional Vedic chants that invoked blessings upon these sacred images.

After the chanting of mantras, the eyes of the idols, which were covered by ceremonial cloths, were unveiled, marking an extraordinary moment for all present.

Architectural Marvel of the Ram Darbar

The Ram Darbar serves a dual purpose; while the sanctum sanctorum of the temple depicts Lord Ram in his child form, the Darbar portrays him in regal splendor as a king. This juxtaposition allows devotees to experience the divine in both forms, connected through different stages of Lord Ram’s journey.

The intricately carved Darbar, made of Makarana white marble, showcases the traditional artistry prevalent in Indian temple architecture. It is a stunning reminder of India’s rich cultural heritage and reverence for its deities.

Generous Contributions and Donations

Remarkably, the opulence of the Ram Darbar has been enhanced by the generous donations of several devotees. Notably, businessman Mukesh Patel from Surat contributed exquisite jewelry made from diamonds, gold, and silver.

  • The donated items include:
    • 1,000 carats of diamonds
    • 30 kilograms of silver
    • 300 grams of gold
    • 300 carats of rubies, from which 11 crowns were crafted
    • Additional items such as necklaces, earrings, and bows and arrows for the four brothers.

These luxurious items were transported to Ayodhya via a chartered plane, a testament to the intense devotion and financial support backing the temple’s establishment.

Affiliated Shrines within the Temple Complex

Apart from the Ram Darbar, the ground floor of the temple complex saw the consecration of six other shrines dedicated to different deities:

  • Lord Shiva
  • Lord Ganesha
  • Lord Hanuman
  • Lord Surya (the Sun God)
  • Goddess Bhagwati
  • Goddess Annapurna

This multifaceted approach to devotion encapsulates the Hindu tradition of worshipping multiple deities and highlights the cultural richness of the temple.

Invitation to Devotees

Unlike the grand invitation of business leaders and film celebrities during last year’s Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha event, the current gathering was more intimate, limited to around 350 guests, primarily consisting of trustees and saints. While the public eagerly anticipates access to the newly consecrated Ram Darbar, the temple trust has yet to announce when devotees will be permitted to visit.

Conclusion

The consecration of the Ram Darbar marks a defining moment in Ayodhya’s spiritual landscape, rekindling the flames of devotion among Hindus across the globe. The ceremonial intricacies, the lavish contributions, and the artistic brilliance of the temple together portray a powerful narrative of faith and heritage.
